This cottage ruin was probably built around 1800. Such cottages are often located on land still owned by the future generations of the same family who lived in them. Instead of demolishing or trying to renovate the cottage newer homes were built close to the original homestead. They were then often used as sheds or for outhouses for livestock. This one has a beautiful set of ‘carefully restored windows’!
