This ‘futuristic’ looking structure is the UCD Watertower. It stands at 197 ft (60m) and was constructed to provide constant water pressure to all the buildings for University College Dublin. It was built in 1972 using reinforced concrete with a pentagonal stem and a dodecahedron shaped tank. Architects for the project were A & D Wejchert and was it was built by John Paul Construction.
