One of Dublin’s finest ‘hidden’ gems designed by James Gandon

The Irish Army Headquarters is located in Phoenix Park in Dublin City. It was originally built as the Royal Military Infirmary by the designs of James Gandon. Gandon was by far the most brilliant architect of his day and his buildings rank with the finest in Europe including The Four Courts, The Custom House, The King’s Inn, and even O’Connell Bridge. This beautiful building is often overlooked by visitors to Phoenix Park.
